How we met!
Hi this is Myst and I want to tell you a wonderful story, about an incredibly wonderful man I met through the BBW-SS chat room on dalnet.
On June 5th, 1998 I met my soul mate "lostsoul". He comes from a whole other world and lives thousands, thousands, and thousands of miles from me (we live half way around the world from one another) he is indeed my other half.............
It was a Saturday early afternoon and I received a message from "lostsoul" we began a friendly chat asked the usual question, age, sex, location.......... well to the say the least when I found out he was from India I was quite intrigued......... not to mention slightly embarrassed when I asked "hmmmmm do you read this chat in your language or can you read English" hmmmmmmm I didn't realize the native language was English...... but with that embarrassment out of the way we continued to get familiar with each other...
I being the inevitable tease that I am used a lot of humor and teasing to get to know "lost soul" and he took all my ribbing good naturally and came back for more....... hmmm he clearly had stamina LOL........... at one time I used a scale to rate his responses and had to actually assistant him up off the floor he fell so low on my meter.
I only had a few simple requirements from the future man of my dreams..... "that he be, tall, dark, handsome, ohhh and "filthy rich"......... now who is ever going to admit they are filthy rich to another person over the net LOL.... Little did I know being rich was going to have nothing to do with money......... I am soooo rich today and I don't have a dime to spare! Lost Soul persevered (LOL) I continued to pick him up off that floor when the meter dropped and he continued to stick it out with me!Well you can imagine trying to find a good time to talk with each other with a 9 1/2 hour time difference was difficult at best. I even set my alarm to get up several hours early to talk, he waited for meeeeeeeeeee and sure enough I counted the hours wrong and missed him "I think that might have been our first internet fight", he was sure I stood him up, boy "he tolerated a lot"! Well we finally got the time difference down and daylight savings certainly helped us out making it earlier hours my nights to talk.
There isn't anything we couldn't share with each other it is as if we had known each other for an eternity.Lostsoul is a smart, resourceful man and has many opportunities to travel to destinations in Europe and the America's and assured me one day we would have an opportunity to meet. The internet is a fabulous ice breaker, but could no longer meet are pressing need to get to touch and know each other intimately. This desire was going to have to happen in person........ Eight months into the relationship this opportunity was granted.
Lost soul had work to attend to here in the United States and Canada and was going to stop in Boston for 2 special weekends. Well at least that was the plan. Hmmmmmmmm yup your right I started to get cold feet, I started to question my commitment to meet and if there might not be a hidden reason why he was coming to meet me. Talk about a James Bond Story. I developed fantasies that he was a member of the Mafia, (of course he didn't help matters when he told me he was a mafia don), going to use me to smuggle drugs, and of all things I started to fear for my family. "if you ever got the opportunity to meet this sweet, adorable, and handsome man the one thing that is very striking is the fact that he is nooooooooo "mafia don"! Many discussions and arguments pursued, but we finally agreed to meet. Oops but one night out of the blue I sent him and icq message (after the tickets were bought, the luggage was packed, and the plane was about to board) telling him "I don't think you should come"! I devastated the poor man. I told him I had a lot of anxiety about our meeting and I said something really stupid about how I loved my family and friends and wanted to be sure everyone would be safe, (I even threatened him with my 3 big brothers). He was able to convince me (offered me many references, all the names and addresses of his work appointments, and agreed if I didn't like him I could leave him at the airport to fend for himself and go on my way. He would just hold up in a hotel until he had to work on Monday morning. Well needless to say once I give someone my word I couldn't go back on it and I did agree that if we had a cup of coffee and I was still not comfortable with the situation then I would in fact do just as he said leave him there!
We never did have that cup of coffee! The doors to customs opened, he walked through them and I knew in a heart beat that I had truly met my soul mate. I saw him first, his head moving side to side looking about for a BBW-SS in blue jeans and blue sweat shirt, and I deliberately walked in his path so he could not get bye....... He was very serious, very determined and very handsome looking......... We went out, walked the short distance to my car, sat, looked at one/another for a moment and the next thing I knew I was being kissed by the man of my dreams.
My moral to my story and my advice to anyone not sure is to take the risk! There is a great big world out there where everyone belongs and has a right to be happy. I am happy and head over heals in love with a fabulous man. He was well worth a trip to the air port for a cup of coffee. Today I travel, meet him in beautiful memorable places, and look forward to what our future holds. All things have a reason in life and all people are in your path for a reason. I say grab hold and go for the ride and take what is rightfully yours "Love & Happiness"!
