My name is Tracy, and I met my Husband-to-be, Chad on AOL this past
February. He was lonely and lookin' for love when he decided to browse
member profiles of single women in our area. He liked my profile and
e-mailed me.
I had decided to end a bad relationship a few months earlier, and was
lookin' around myself. I had a few online personals, and had met a handful
of men, but nothing worked out. But I hadn't given up looking, and figured
that I'd eventually meet someone who would catch my interest.
I had received 3 e-mails from potential suitors one day, and only one
lived in my area, so I decided to give it a chance and reply. We chatted
online a couple of times and moved to the phone. We clicked together so
well, that we decided to meet 2 days earlier than originally planned.
He showed up with a teddy bear, and I was immediately hooked. I knew,
at that moment, that I was definately interested in getting to know him
better. We spent a wonderful day together, and I was wishing I could have
called in sick at work so we could spend even more time together.
We were together almost every day after that. Within a few months we had
decided that we were the ones we had been looking for all our lives, and he
proposed. The wedding will take place this coming Valentines' day, and
neither of us can wait.
This man is a dream come true. He is the kind that brings candy and
flowers for any old reason. He treats me like a queen, and makes my life
complete. We are so comfortable with each other, it is like we have known
each other for years, not months. I never in my wildest dreams thought I
would find someone like him.
All I can say, is that I am so glad I took that chance and answered that
e-mail!
