    Low Carb Ideas & Recipes

Maybe it's a Jersey thing, cuz we live for the hard roll. I long for a hard roll down here in Florida. That is one of the few foodie things that I miss the most about Jersey. A buttered hardroll. And if someone should slap some Taylor ham, egg and cheese on it, all the better. And yes, I...

Quran burning and deaths in Afghanistan

Please realize that whomever shot the spitball did so of their own free will. Whomever smoked a joint used their own free will. Whomever burned a book used their own free will. Whomever decapitated people used their own free will. We all want freedom so badly yet abuse it so much. NOONE...

Quran burning and deaths in Afghanistan

Mack, I believe there is never a good reason to kill another human being. If death occurs during necessary self defense than it is not murder, but still a sad and horrible situation. I don't understand what you mean when you say "soft racism". Please explain.

Quran burning and deaths in Afghanistan

How about WE ALL (meaning the population of humans inhabitating this earth) try living a life of peace and harmony for ALL? Not just some, but all. No one's agenda is more important than their own it seems. Pride is indeed the deadliest sin. We all think we are better than the others. Not...

So I was watching a basketball game....

Perhaps the packages have gotten larger over the years and therefore need more "wrapping". And then, perhaps some just want it to appear that their package is big enough to require so much wrapping.;)

    Kelligrl: The Conference Presentation-your input

You are quite welcome. I think that the mention of Kelligrl makes people get a little kooky sometimes. Its ok. Now we just need for anyone with some input, to start inputting. Me, I got nothing. I will be very interested though to see this progress. Good luck with the paper. I am sure you...

    Kelligrl: The Conference Presentation-your input

I too had the "HUH?" reaction to this question. However, knowing the source of the question, Butch, I completely believe it to be a real and true question. All that I know of Butch both here and on facebook leads me to believe that she is pursuing this information for true academic reasons...

    so insulted.

Or if you are ever in the mood for a bit of sarcasm you might try something like "Yeah, well she would have been with me tonite but the truck and crane needed service, so I couldn't haul her monstrous ass here to the bar. Maybe if you're lucky you can meet her next time."

    March Iron Foodee Challenge

This is indeed how it would usually be to make a sauce. I did not formulate this recipe and have made it the way that it is stated and it works, so I did not change it. But yes, normally the liquid would be added to the roux instead of vice versa as in the above recipe.

Latest Food Discoveries - Share them here!

My new found obsession is Liberte Mediterranean yogurt from Canada. The full fat, fruit on the bottom ones. This yogurt must have decided that it wanted to be the BEST tasting yogurt on the planet. I still love Chobani greek yogurt and always will. And if I am going to choose a...

    March Iron Foodee Challenge

Hello All! For me the month of March is all about two things. Blooming flowers and St. Patrick's Day. Not only am I of Irish descent, but I married my best friend on St. Patrick's Day sixteen years ago. I would like to choose IRISH FOOD as the secret ingredient for this month. I would...

    I"m A Superduper Freak O' Nature!

Why yes, I do have a scar. Not only do I have a scar that makes my thumb look like the chicken wing you choose last because it has less meat, but I can't bend it or use it to "snap". And by golly, I am a snapper. And a mumblehummer, well that's what hubby calls me anyway. This is probably...

A Question for Men: why is there rape?

I know I'm a gal Smushy, but - if I may, I'd like to throw a thought into the mix. Rape is not always man against woman, or man against man, or woman against man, etc. Sometimes it is a person in authority with a crow bar in a bathroom at police headquarters. That, I would think, is not about...
