The last movie you watched... and score out of ten - Part 1

You are correct - MOST of the animation happens during "Origin", and your point is well taken. That being said, the animation appears during several other passages and that's where I got the impression that it was a bit too much - as you said, it kind of stamps "indi" on the project, which is...

The last movie you watched... and score out of ten - Part 1

Clean - an interesting indie flick that looks at life and the LA chic through the eyes of a limo driver (and former drug addict). 7-10 some implausable interactions, but overall there's some good stuff going on here.

The last movie you watched... and score out of ten - Part 1

umm, just wondering; since this is a true story and they never caught the Zodiac, or could even properly identify him, how could there possibly be a "proper" ending? Sometimes life just doesn't tie things up with a nice ribbon. I lived through those days in real time and have read the book - a...

The last movie you watched... and score out of ten - Part 1

What Alice Found - an interesting flick (not going to give you a synopsis - too much of a spoiler). Worth the watch 8-10 Hedwig And The Angry Inch - transexual musical (reminescent of Rocky Horror in that regard). Music very Bowie-esque, circa Ziggy Stardust. I enjoyed the music and some...

Want to see something completely appalling?

I've always found Cook's humour to be an aquired taste - one that I'm not willing to entertain. I was wondering what all the ballyhoo was about concerning said entertainer, so caught his last HBO standup special - well, I'm still wondering - and this weak effort further supports my stand - NOT...

    When you became an FA..

I believe that I was born with it, but received so many negative messages while I was growing up (both my parents were always dieting, while I was a skinny kid) that I didn't come to embrace it until I was almost 40 - always thinking that it was my little "deviant" secret and that no-one else...

    FA Disaster Stories

several of the stories presented here remind me of the time when I first openly acknowledged to myself that I had a preference for moderate BBW's. I had watched the girlfriend of an aquantance of mine start to put on weight - revelling in how her stomach was rapidly expanding. When I heard...

Peggy Plumps Up on MAD MEN!

I really love this show - very well thought out and well written and acted - plus there's all kinds of really cool period references - from the old Volkswagon adds to the decor - especially the elevator lobby with the bullet shaped cigarrete ashtrays. I too noticed Peggy seemed to be plumping...

Nope - the Ludlum estate give Eric Van Lustbader (writer of The Ninja, etc) permission to write a Bourne book - which he completed last year - a pretty darned good read by the way, and should make a compelling movie as well.

    What are you reading ?

Just finished Pandora Star by Peter Hamilton - sci fi with dective thriller thrown in - very large scope and handled supremely well. Before that it was Hannibal Rising - a quick and good read.

The last movie you watched... and score out of ten - Part 1

Find Me Guilty - a Sidney Lumet film about the big Gangster trials several years ago. Some seriously funny moments (and most of the in court dialog was purportedly from the court transcripts). I'd give it at least a 7, maybe even more. Also seen recently: Vera Drake - taking place in...

    Female Feeders

I know that my father gained 75 pounds in the first year of his marriage; and only because my mother wanted to please him, so she cooked all his favorite meals. His gain was not intentional, but just the same.....

    scenes from the aquarium

you mean there were fish there??? In all honesty, the jelly fish were miraculous, the huge sunfish amazing and the fresh water otter exhibit - just too much fun. In all a very good day, thanks for asking (and getting this thread back on track) :)

    scenes from the aquarium

I doubt the pregnant angle (though possible) - and yes, they were doing it because it felt good to do so - which was the entire point of what I was trying to say - I was just surprised to see it, that's all. :)

    scenes from the aquarium

You are preaching to the choir here. I know that you started your post by saying that you realized that I was referring not to my personal standards - but still felt compelled to inform me (or perhaps just a general rant) about sizes and standards. I was very conscious in writing my post about...

thanks for clearing that up - I thought perhaps I had said something that someone was taking issue with (been down that unfortunate road before).

    scenes from the aquarium

I spent the majority of a day last week at the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and as my marital unit was taking tons of pictures, I was allowed some free time to people watch. My observations (and let me preface this by saying that I'm not some sicko reporting BBW sightings at K Mart, ok? ;) )...

    Penn & Teller on Obesity

I didn't catch what study they were quoting, but at one point during the show they stated that an overweight (I'm guessing they are using the BMI to determine "overweight") person who excercises regularly is healthier than a thin one who also excercises.
