What do you do when people say "You've lost weight"?
Commenting or judging on what someone is eating is definately not OK. Since i have a lap-band and I'm pretty open about it, people seem to see that as an excuse to look at what I'm eating. Drives me nuts. I'm gonna eat what I want, just less of it.- jennycom

What do you do when people say "You've lost weight"?
When people make comments like 'You've lost weight, it looks good' Keep in mind, they aren't being malicious. They are taking their own standard of beauty (which is likely the conventional standard) and applying it to you. Granted, it's not OK, but the "fat is beautiful" mindset is sadly a...- jennycom

Lap-Band 4 1/2 years post-op
Hi Di, I've actually been at the same fill level for over 2 years. It took 5 fills to get to it :) My restriction hasn't changed during that time so I'm not getting a fill. I occasionally get VERY tight - I pretty much have to do liquids only during PMS days, I can't get anything solid down...- jennycom

Hi Damon, I have some excess skin, absolutely. But I think it would have been worse if not for my age (29) and my slow weight loss. I have it on my tummy, of course, breasts, inner thighs & underarms. Jenny- jennycom
