I agree....and that is why I said that the needed economy would have to be supported by technology. We absolutely need the strongest R&D corps the country can field...but there will never be enough R&D jobs to base the economy on. I will put it this way....I've danced twice in my life, both times at my wedding. Once with my wife, of course...the other with my mother-in-law. There have been no requests for another dance in the ensuing 15 years. -

Technology is not the savior here. At best it will create relatively small number of research and development jobs...probably fewer than what the ongoing implementation of technology displaces. We have to get out of the idea of an information/technology based economy...that kind of economy can...- Zandoz

Biased Against Fat People
