Keeping up with the Janeses?
I think that would tie in with how comfortable the guy is with himself in general. If he feels badly/ashamed about his weight, then I doubt he'd want anyone to make concessions for him (at least obvious ones). So in those cases a FFA would probably have to be very covert in helping her guy out... -

Our long-time scratch and dent appliance store that advertises often is owned by a big guy, so I expected that you were somehow giving the appliances the business on your own....Any skinny guy could do that with a hammer. ;) But still appreciate the sense of humor of the ad and in your work. :) -

That might be a problem for me now, too, but I haven't bought shorts in 6 years because about 5 or so years ago was when the style came out that decreed shorts for men need to look like cargo pants and go down to below the knee. And, of course, they design them for "below the knee" for a guy... -

Late reply also therefore derailing to some degree, but when younger as a guy, it's really valid. When I was 24, I dated a 34 year old woman and it was a mutually positive experience. Of course now I'm 37 and all the FFAs are at most 23, so I'm just here for the socialization these days. :D -

I'm completely calm about my weight -- I didn't get here by accident. But I find that locally, living in a town of a major university, where most women are under 30, I'm invisible. Which is fine because I expect it. But in talking with women overseas, they're not so wound up with their guys... -
