    Surgery Update on Missaf

As some of you may know, Missaf had brain surgery today to remove a pitutary tumor that has been causing her some major problems. Her surgery and recovery has gone quite well. I have not personally spoken to the doctor to know more detailed information on her tumor, size, shape, etc. However...

    Giving up smoking.... and struggling

As of 2/23/09, I have been smoke-free for a year. It's so well worth it. I smell, taste, everything so much better. And to top it off, I'm saving thousands of dollars a year and my lungs are thanking me :)

    Being a long Distance parent

I, too, met my husband here at Dimensions. One of the first things I knew about him before I knew we grew up in the same part of the country was that he had a little girl from a previous marriage. I'll be the first to admit that dating someone with a child was not on my list to ever do...

Can I have your advice, please?

I would suggest heading to your doctor to be checked out, just to make sure there are not any underlying medical issues such as: thyroid disorder, vitamin deficiency, insulin issues, or something else.

    A big fat vent

A few years back, I lost a tremendous amount of weight. I went from a size 28 down to a size 2/4. I thought by losing the weight I would be so much happier, boy was I wrong. In fact, not only did the weight loss make me look like I aged 10 years, people treated me completely different. Women...

Has anyone considered running naked in the street or actually done public nudity?

Yes...I was 19 and some college girlfriends and I got very intoxicated. We started playing truth or dare and I picked a dare, which ended up being me running naked down the street in front of our dorm. Thank God it was like 2am because hardly anyone saw me.

    To those with house mates

Les, my dear, let me tell you about a housemate I once had and why I refused to ever have another. ;) The guy was a total loser who quit his job as soon as he moved in with me, then sold his car for some unknown reason. He never left the apartment, unless I dragged him out with me to go...

    Yeah, what she said!

    Relationship Problems.

Hence what I wrote up above. Who knows why people do the things they do, make the decisions they make, stay with people who are not good for them. Maybe people are stuck in a fairytale world and they want everything to be bright beautiful roses 24/7. But the reality of life is we all make...

    Relationship Problems.

Amen to that! If a guy is willing to cheat on his wife to be with you then nine times out of ten he's going to be willing to cheat on you with someone else. Do as Sammie suggested up above...remember that you deserve better, but you're allowing yourself to stay in this situation because quite...

My kind of woman that i'd love for life :)

Ok, I'm going to be quite literal here...I HATE...HATE it when people post pictures like this and say that they could love this kind of person or that kind of person. Honestly, just because someone is physically attractive to you doesn't mean that you'll click with that person or that you'll be...

    I Am Struggling With Depression

You know I'd love that. I'm surprised that it's been so hard for me to adjust to moving here. I'm hoping that things will change soon :)

    I Am Struggling With Depression

This is exactly why I do not want to be on antidepressants. Having been on them before, when I was much younger, they had a negative impact on my affect instead of a positive one. I have always told my doctors that I never want to be prescribed one, because the issues that I'm facing are ones...

    I Am Struggling With Depression

Having read people's posts and responses to this thread, I've decided to share my own story. This year has been one of the worst of my life. I had a major falling out with a family member back in February, and two weeks later was diagnosed with double pneumonia. I was sicker than a dog but...

    Domestic Violence?

I learned a long time ago that you can't really help someone unless they're first willing to help themselves. I feel bad for this couple, but unless they both decide to get help and willingly admit that they both have a problem, the relationship will maintain as is.

the ONE thing annoying you the most right now??

I'm annoyed that my husband's company seems to forget he has a family and constantly sends him on business trips. We've been in our new place two months and in that two months he's been gone 6 weeks of it :(

Couples that have met on dimensions?

I also met my husband in the Dimensions chatroom. We carried out a long distance relationship for many months, including his deployment to Iraq twice during our relationship. So, yes, I understand the long goodbyes and the anxious waits.
