    Are you shopping online more?

I used to do a bit of shopping online, but I seemed to have little luck with my online purchases, i.e., clothing too small, too big, not good quality, etc. I do all of our shopping in stores now, so that I can try on the clothes and shoes. My hubby still likes to shop online for his hiking...

Midwest road trip-I need your help!

I lived in KC for quite some time. If you're a jazz lover, KC has some great jazz. Might want to check out the Grand Emporium Jazz Club. Also, like you mentioned, the BBQ is pretty good, but so are the steak houses, like the Hereford House. There is also Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun amusement...

    Fat Discrimination by Region

Yes, Susannah. I have heard that Flordia and California are two states that are more prone to fat discrimination. Whether this is true, I don't know, but I've heard others on the board say that.

    Fat Discrimination by Region

I posted a link on a separate thread relating to an article about how overweight/obese people are feeling more discriminated against in the US. There has been plenty of discuss on the other thread about the stats, research, etc. Now...I can't help but wonder if different areas of the US...

    "Obese Feel More Discrimination"

I don't feel discrimination either. I think the last time I felt descrimination over my weight was when I was in HS, and that's been awhile. And I agree with what Surlysomething said about the attitude towards obesity and living in a more diverse area. In fact, I often wonder how...

    Answer & Question Time

I stayed in a loveless relationship for selfish reason...I didn't want to be alone. The older you get, do you feel that you let things get to you more or less?

    Dealing with parents

I have to agree with Lilly on this one. It's hard to get people to understand that whether they like it or not, you're fat...gonna stay fat, like being fat, etc. I have the same issue with my mother, as Lilly and the OP have with theirs. The funny thing about my mother is that she's the same...
