    Venting...

I'll tell you what irks me. (and sometimes amuses me, depending on my frame of mind). When I'm talking to a thin person, and inevitably they have a friend, or a relative, or know some one who is "large" or "heavy set", but insist that that person is MUCH larger than myself, and then they...

Day Laborers Have Free Speech Rights Too

Man, I have got to get me one of those SuperPac thingies. Along with a butler. What a sweet deal!

Day Laborers Have Free Speech Rights Too

How is this suprising? If you are fighting for your right to do whatever, the situation is is that those who have more power than you are threatening to restrict your right to do whatever. So practically by definition, you are disenfranchised and disadvantaged. I suppose there are...

    Fox News can be funny

My favorite quote from Fox News this morning... "Hunters are this country's greatest conservationists!" wow....just wow.

    valentines day

Exactly. My valentines tradition is to make one of our fave comfort meals...meatloaf and mashed potatoes, but I make them into individual serving size, heart-shaped meatloaves. With the red ketchup based sauce on top, they're really quite stunning! And whoever in Dunkin' Donuts...

    Anyone used a pedal exerciser?

Link to the one I bought... http://www.wayfair.com/Stamina-InStride-Folding-Cycle-15-0125-SSM1083.html

    Anyone used a pedal exerciser?

Alright, so I finally go mine...bought it from Wayfair for about $40. My review. For me, I'm short, 5'3". Thanks to the tips here, I just tried it with my kitchen chair immediately, and that did the trick. It is not equivalent to a bike, as there is little to no tension. However...

    Leg Cramps

Yep, I get them in my calves. Downward Dog yoga pose works pretty well for stretching. Also, sometimes I do trigger point pressure massage using my peg board, or a tennis ball. Cyclobenzaprine (flexeril) is a beautiful thing.

    Fox News can be funny

This. I think it was last week...on one of their morning shows, the guys were kvetching about what a pain in the ass is was to plug in the electric car they were test driving for a week. Boo hoo, poor babies...can't bend over to plug in their car once a day. Talk about feeling entitled.

    Female: You're Doing it wrong.

It's all good. I for one am constantly amazed at how much I am shaped by my childhood :)

    Female: You're Doing it wrong.

I think that CP's pearls here are correct. RV, I wasn't being sarcastic in my head, more of a joking tone...sorry if you took it that way. Like I said, I'm sure I could find it offensive if used a certain way, it's just that to date, I haven't.

    Female: You're Doing it wrong.

Well, then, I guess I'm just wrong. Since hundreds of women disagree with me and all. lol. Seriously... though, I don't recall ever being in, or listening to, a conversation with a man that used "female" in a condescending way. Not saying it couldn't happen. PS. You are correct. I have...

    Female: You're Doing it wrong.

I was not aware that there were any negative connotations to "female". The word doesn't bother me one wit....although that mileage may vary depending on the tone and context used, but that goes for pretty much any word.

    Sugar regulations?

This has proven somewhat true for High Fructose Corn Syrup....just the other day I saw..I think it was Heinz ketchup, with the label boldly saying "now made with REAL sugar!" Problem is, sugar is addictive (at least for some people)..so the odds of the public demanding less sugar is...

    Sugar regulations?

That's true, I don't remember it either, but the food industry has changed dramatically in the last 40 years...and people in general are eating a lot more processed foods than ever before. Honestly, I don't think the issues of sugar (and salt) have so much to do with an individuals kitchen...

    breakfast

Mmmmm...I do adore breakfasts of all sorts, it's hard to choose. . #1 would be Eggs Neptune...which is the same as Eggs Benedict except replacing the ham with crab meat. #2. A great, fresh bagel, lightly toasted, with cream cheese and lox. #3. French Toast w/maple syrup and...

    Sugar regulations?

While I agree that sugar should not be regulated / taxed, I do think that modern society has gone overboard on sugar and it's bastardized cousins. I think it's probably more harmful than most people realize. And I say this as a person who *loves* sugar.

well rounded bbw models and pagent queens

Fair enough... I think I misunderstood your original post. Are pageants considered to be a possible stepping stone to the entertainment industry?

well rounded bbw models and pagent queens

What I don't understand... If a woman was looking to improve her self esteem, why would she want to enter a competitions where she will be judged vis-a-vis other women? That just seems illogical to me.
