It's an article in People magazine this week. A 12 yr old who was 220 lbs under went surgery to loose some excess weight.
I want to completely and totally THROTTLE her parents. 1. give her healthier choices of what she puts in her body and focus on that instead of weight loss. 2. She hasn't even hit puberty yet. No one knows what will happen to her body as she ages and matures and her hormones take over. 3. I just don't understand how any parent could risk their child's life by allowing them to have such a dangerous surgery.
Granted, being fat isn't always easy, but at 12..get her active..teach her ow to eat healthy..get her involved in sports or other extra curricular activities..don't just pick a dangerous *easy* solution.
/end rant
