In Rememberance
At 46 years old and being married almost 14 years I didn't think there would be any new firsts for us at this point. But there have been 2 in the last 2 months that brought me to tears.
Wayne brings me flowers (single roses) regularly. But no one in my life has ever brought me a dozen roses - ever. Until last month when Wayne out of the blue and for no reason brought home a dozen white roses. He even remembered my favorite color.
I have never had a diamond. It just was not important to me. When Wayne and I got serious - we moved in together and I didn't care if he bought me an engagement ring or not. Yesterday - we were in a mall in Mesquite. He bought me a huge pair of Pearl (my birth stone) and diamond studs. Not overly expensive - but so beautiful and thoughtful and he remembered I wanted a pair like this.
I love this man - and life is pretty damn good these days.
