80% of the Earth Gone
by BenFA89

Chapter one

Chris rolled his scrawny body out of his twin sized bed early Monday morning. He really didn't want to work today. It was wheat harvest in Kansas, a busy time of the year, and if he had to drive that old wheat truck one more mile he was going to die. He walked downstairs and noticed Dad wasn't there. He looked around for him, and saw his car was still here. Thinking he must of taken the truck somewhere, he turned on the T.V. Static. That’s weird, he thought, usually NBC never goes down. Flipping through channel after channel of static he came to CNN. A reporter was talking, "80% of the Earth's population mysteriously disappeared overnight. Where they have gone, no one knows."

"Yeah right," thought Chris. He started flipping channels again. Nothing. "No way. Maybe it is true." He started calling every contact in his phone. No answers on any of them. "This terrible!...No wait great!...No! Terrible!" he didn’t know what to think. Maybe I’ll just drive to town.

Chapter Two

Chris walked to the garage. It was old and run-down just like every other building on the farm. And so was the car in it, so everyone thought. Inside was sitting Chris's 1982 Chevy El Camino with its flaking red paint job and powerful 350 engine. He loved that car. He got in it, pumped the gas and started it up. He then put it in first gear. That’s when he stopped and remembered. The manual transmission was something Dad put in. He started remembering Dad. If this was true, this population wipe-out thing, he was going to miss a lot of people. Shaking it off, he drove to town. Once in the small town of Riverveiw, which had no view of any river, he started cruising the streets looking for any sign of life. He drove past his old high school, his mom's house, and the supermarket.

Chapter Three

That's when he saw it. A moving car! Chris stomped on the gas to catch up to it. The driver must have seen him , too, because the car pulled over. He recognized it then. It was a blue 2006 Pontiac Firebird. Taylor, a girl his age got out. Taylor was one of the Roberts twins. A cute girl with blond hair that had black highlights. Her twin's name was Ashley, but she was no where to be found. Taylor was a chubby girl, about Chris's height. She wasn't FAT, but Chris never paid much attention to her. She was still in her too-small tank top and booty shorts she slept in. She got out of her car and was already at Chris's window before he could open his door.

She franticly asked, "Is it true?"

Chris knew what she meant. He nodded. She looked as if she had the same reaction as Chris did. She didn’t know whether to be happy or devastated. After some discussion, they decided to exchange numbers, search for other people, and call each other if they need anything.

Chapter Four

It had been three days since the encounter with Taylor. Neither of them had seen anyone. Then his phone rang. He knew who it was, who else could it be? He answered the phone.

"Hey, its me Taylor, umm, I don't think there's anyone around. And I’ve only had contact with a few people on the Internet. All far away from here. It seems the only people who are left are all close together, in pairs of twos."

"That's weird," said Chris.

"Yeah, maybe we should stick together though, we have everything we need here in Riverview, a supermarket, a hospital, everything."

"Sounds good, I'll meet you at your house later.

Chapter Five

It had been two weeks. Chris and Taylor pretty much lived together in the biggest house in Riverveiw. They had adjusted to the new world, and kept in touch with other survivors via the Internet. All the survivors had decided to begin repopulating the world, and eventually starting a new settlement somewhere. Chris spent his days at the body shop in own working on his El Camino. It looked great. Taylor spent her days lounging in the pool and getting food for the two to survive from the supermarket. At night, the two would get together at the mansion gradually getting more comfortable with each other. Chris loved Taylor's personality. He was a little turned off by her body though. All of her lazing around and supermarket visits were taking their toll. She was growing a belly. Nothing at all huge, she only weighed about 185 or so, but it was noticeable. Although, Chris was becoming more comfortable with it. In fact, soon he liked it. He was ready. After a month of living together, they slept together for the first time. In the morning, Chris left Taylor a cupcake by the bed and went to the body shop.

Chapter Six

When Chris got home that day, he found Taylor still in bed. There were wrappers everywhere, and the T.V was turned to the only still active channel, CNN. Chris chuckled and went to wake Taylor up. When he pulled the covers off of her, he was surprised. Taylor was covered in chocolate, her stomach was bloated so much that her tank top was above her belly button, and her booty shorts were constricting her thighs making them bulge. She woke up, looking embarrassed.

"Don't be," said Chris. She explained that since they were the last left in town, why care about figure? Chris understood. She then told Chris that she always wanted to gain a little weight, but was embarrassed. Chris told her not to be. She looked great he said. In fact, he was a little turned on. So that how their days went for another month. Chris going about his business, Taylor being lazy. They slept together, and had protected sex, but decided to wait on the repopulation.

Chapter Seven

Taylor walked into the body shop looking angry. "What?" said Chris.

"I outgrew these shorts," pointing to the dangerously tight, unbuttoned short shorts she was wearing.

"Well, then go find some new ones at the store."

"I could, but I think I already out grew the last pair of short shorts they have," said Taylor. "But I could always just change over to sweat pants."

"Then do that," said Chris, a bit annoyed by her bothering him. When he came home that night, he noticed Taylor wasn't stuffing herself. "Looks like the little piggy didn’t pig out today, huh?"

To which Taylor replied, "Nope. I weighed myself today. You know what it was? 215 lbs! 215! That's enough for me, even if you are the only one around to see it. I'm done gaining. Besides, we need to start a life together." And that’s what they did.

Aftermath

Chris and Taylor Started a great life. They had three kids. Taylor's weight went up and back down, and Chris completed his El Camino. After 4 years, the survivors decided to all gather in Denver, Colorado. It was just about perfect size for all the remaining survivors. And, in a nice two story house with a cherry red El Camino outside, lived a car enthusiast, and a 215 lbs woman with their three children.
