Despite claiming fetuses are people for as long as anyone can remember it appears the Catholic Church isn't so committed to the proposition that fetuses are people. At least not when its going to cost them money.
In a Colorado court the Catholic Church recently argued that they cannot be held financially responsible for twin fetuses that died because of alleged malpractice in a Catholic Hospital because the fetuses were not people and therefore could not form the basis of a wrongful death suit.

The hypocrisy in mind boggling!
