Windom Earle
Ghostwood Forest Sage
June 30th is my 58th birthday and I was thinking it would be very nice to celebrate a snoosh at the Naan n' Curry on Van Ness, near City Hall, so that my friend Margalo, might be able to attend as well (she lives across the street, which is a most commodious arrangement!) I have not been the most notable attendee of late, but as many of you know, my Mother passed away April 25th and then our dear beloved Cinder bunny passed away on Mother's day. All of the changes were topped off by the necessity of my moving in to a new house in the Outer Mission district, where I share a household with my ex-wife Suzanne and our dear friend, Max Valerio. The house is ever so slowly taking shape and the various funerals and ashes and remembrances are simmering down now, so a slight celebration might be just the thing!
For the truly adventurous, Max and I are doing a performance at the Femina Potens gallery 2199 Market Street at 16th on June 20th and 26th at 8PM, as part of the Native American Arts and Cultural Traditions grant and the LGBTQ Arts festival sponsored by the San Francisco Arts Commission. The performance is called "EXILE": Vision Quest at the Edge of Identity, about Max' visit to the Blackfoot reserve in Alberta Canada for the first time in several decades. I provide the stark and shimmering electronic music background! Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets.com
