I just called up the local paper's mail call section where they post short call-in comments from readers. Roughly I said, "There has been a discussion about the need for a senior center in this County. The county is full of places where seniors and some young people meet on a regular basis and receive lectures about living better, engage in singing, listening to music, having weekly or more frequent discussion sessions, and often are provided with low price or free food. There are also able to engage in group service projects and help out in the community. These places are called churches or in one case a synagogue."
