I woke up this morning feeling absolutely surly and maudlin not looking forward to an interview which was giving me a bad vibe (it didn't go well and the interviewer was a real hipster/douchebag). Everything that can go wrong, did. At least the interview was 3 blocks away...
I came home at 11, booted up my computer, sent out resumes to employers requesting, filled out online applications etc. More rejection letters, more offers from companies that are too far from NYC and can't (or won't?) fly me out there.
Then I heard a soft meow to my right. I look down and my cat Peanut was sitting on the floor next to my chair staring at me with her big green eyes. I thought she was hungry but then she stood up on her hind legs and placed her front paws on my right thigh.
I picked her up and she immediately went to rest herself on my left shoulder, letting out a BIG sigh and purring. I think she hugged me! In fact she's still on my shoulder as I type this and I gotta say, it's hard typing with a 10lb weight on your shoulder!
So my question is this:
What are things, situations, people that made your day?
