First of all, my very sincere thanks and appreciation to the mods for dealing with the sizable troll problem we've had recently. You guys are awesome, and we really appreciate everything you do to make this place pleasant for all.
I had a thought just now - how difficult would it be to set things up so that a new username would have to be approved before becoming an actual Dims user? It seems like we get, I don't know, ten new members a day? That wouldn't be difficult to manage, I don't think. Could the board be set up for this? Obviously we'll always have trolls, unfortunately, but at least this way we wouldn't have to see who's online and read, "newest member: KILLYOURSELVESYOUFATCUNTS".
I would happily volunteer to help with this duty. Seriously.
Thoughts?
P.S. - Or maybe only do this when we're experiencing the occasional troll invasion?
