Hey, y'all! I forgot to post this before, given the recent chaos, but I meant to.

I came here to Quebec to visit my hubby in September, before the move. On the way home, a wonderful guy at the gate (I flew United) bumped me up to business class and I had a first-row seat, with tons of leg room in what was a small plane. That meant I wasn't far from where the flight attendant has her jump seat and does her flight attendant-y things.

You can imagine my surprise, and delight, to see a beautiful almost-supersize (I'd say she weighed close to 300 lbs) flight attendant. I was almost shocked at first, in a good way. We had the opportunity to talk a bit and I told her that I was thrilled to see a woman of size in her job. She said she wasn't the only one, but that there aren't many. Yeah, no kidding, given she is the first I've seen. I have to say, I consider this somewhat groundbreaking and some wonderful progress. Been kicking myself for not asking the pilot to take a photo of the two of us so I could post it here.

Anyway, I still think of her and feel happy. :D
