At 26, sometimes I feel I dress inappropriately. My boyfriend calls my style like a " Japanese teenager". The reason for this immature style? As a teenager, I didn't have Torrid or the recent spate of cute plus sized clothing. I mean, I have been wearing my cat's land tank for the last 5 years and although threadbare, it's still wearable. I like striped socks and mary janes. I don't consider it infantile, just fun. I'm not always in that sort of clothing, and my style has changed a bit over the last year or two. But I don't understand why emphasis is placed on things that are age appropriate (a phrase which makes me cringe). I don't like how we care what others do.
