Ok so as most of you al lknow I am in collee and into theater. My tropp recent performed Grease the Musical. In my opinion it was a decent show, minor tech fuck ups that partial were my fault ^^;; but thats not my point. Now I would say 90% of our female cast with name rolls could be considered more than a little over weight. I can only think of 3 actressess that were'nt well padded as it were. Now lately I have been more open with my preferences (thanks to alot of support and what not from you all here) so the female cast knew I simply enjoyed every minute of watching them be on stage as sassy confident women. We all loved it. That is until the reviews came in. The school paper critizised us for using actresses who would easily be considered even SSBBWs for roles than in the movie and broadway run were filled by waifs. Burned me up! They called out a couple dear friends of mine by name saying and I quote "Marty should not have a double chin or an ass that hangs off her lunch table bench, or a Jan that fills said bench on her own with that fat ass." I left out the names for their privacy. Me being a fighter for the down trodden I stormed up to the newspaper office and bitched at the editor for a good half hour hile she waited for campus police to arrive and remove me from her office. Ugg socioty sucks.
Honestly the show was soooo much better this way. It almsot makes more sence for the Pink ladies to be more voluptious becasue they are more sensual while Sandra be a skinny bitch cause shes so pure and "perfect". Either way I liked it and the girls in the cast enjoyed it.
