Here I am at home sick AGAIN. Bloody hell. I seem to get horrible eye, sinus and throat infections after I use make-up. I don't usually wear make up but for performances and special nights on the town I like to paint myself up. I'm trained well in how to do it and love the special feeling when I'm polished and made up well.

The problem is, the day after I wear makeup I get these painful inflammatory responses in my eyes and sinuses. It takes awhile but before you know it my nose is swollen, burning and stuffed and I'm teary eyed and miserable. I thought maybe it was because the makeup sits around too long. I use it a few times, then I put it away and when I pull it out again bacteria/virus has grown and I infect myself that way. I took to throwing out old makeup and starting fresh each time but here I am again missing days at work wide awake all night from the horrible pain and discomfort of another sinus infection.

I mentioned my theory of bacterial infection from eye makeup to several professionals: a doctor and a make-up artist and both say it's highly unlikely that I would get an infection from my OWN make-up that only I have used and it's been kept in a clean dry place. They seem to have no solution but I'm beginning to suspect it might be an additive in makeup or just make-up in general.

Quite frankly I'm tired of being sick. :( I just can't take it anymore. I'm nervous about playing hit or miss anymore with my health while at the same time I don't want to give up wearing my beloved eyeliner and mascara. :wubu:

Has anybody else ever experienced this or know of someone who has? Anyone know of any natural products that are on the market that may work?
