I apologize if this post is in the wrong place but I wasn't sure where else it should go.

What I've been thinking about lately is how hard it is to be without someone to care about during the holiday season...

I mean family and friends are great and I appreciate them with all my heart and all that I am, but around this time of year, it always seems harder to be alone (ie: not with a companion or partner). It just seems to bother me more than at other times. It's very lonely and actually really depressing.

Has anyone out there ever felt this way or is feeling this way right now perhaps? If so, what do you do about it? What do you find, if anything, helps you to feel better?
