Update on Louise.

In August Louise had some sort of an infection, perhaps an abscess, on the middle of her lower right leg. The doctor cut it out. It just would not heal even though we were going to the wound clinic at least once a week. In November the wound doctor assured us that the wound would be healed by Christmas. He forgot to mention which Christmas. Finally it did heal but then the sickness described below kicked in.

Now that Louise is no longer sick and the wound is healed we have been able to go to the arthritic swim classes. In the water Louise has been practicing walking with a normal gait and has found that the distance she can travel on land with a cane has greatly increased. Also in the water, during the break time, we can both stand up straight and hold each other close and dance in 4 feet of water. One or the other of us sings waltz songs as we dance. It is so wonderful to hold her soft, wet, sexy, big, body close to mine as we snuggle and dance.

At one point I asked the instructor if this was break time. The instructor said that it was break time. I then pointed out to the instructor that we were dancing during break time. The instructor agreed and had no objections. I then pointed out to the instructor that she could truthfully say that she had seen people break dancing during the arthritic swim class.

An added benefit to the class the instructor weighs about 370 pounds.

For about one year Louise has been around 370 pounds to 380 pounds. In March she started having severe pain in her abdomen. After checking out a variety of things the doctors decided that was probably a kidney stone problem but then the pain went away. During the period of time in which she was in pain and discomfort, almost all of the time, she had absolutely no interest in eating. In less than three weeks time she dropped 50 pounds and wound up at 325.

We mentioned this 50 pound weight loss to three or four the different doctors that have been treating Louise and none of them seem to feel that it was a cause of worry. I pointed out to Louise that if she had gained 50 pounds in a month the doctors would be all over her case about that.

During the time that Louise was in intense pain I was worrying about her and eating irregularly if at all and went from about 346 to 327. Then, in a couple of weeks I was back up to about 337. Louise commented that this was the first time in her life that she had ever been in a romantic relationship with a man who weighed more than she did and she would like to keep it that way.

Louise's appetite has returned and two days ago Louise found out that she is now 343 and I am 339. Last night we managed to wind up at a free buffet. I got about a cup and a half, maybe 2 cups, of macaroni salad, a hot dog with a roll and two pieces of chicken. Louise told me to get a another roll and hot dog for her. I did. Louise also got a piece of chicken for herself.

When we got back to the table Louise had brought her own hotdog so she told me to go ahead and eat both the hotdog I had gotten for myself in the hotdog I gotten for her. She then realized that the chicken was not white meat and so she also put that on my plate along with the two pieces of chicken there were already there. She then found out that that was pizza so she brought both of us back a piece of pizza. About two hours later she brought back two pieces of pizza and two pieces of chicken and gave me one of each. When we got home she made sure that I had a big piece of the birthday cake I made for her..

This morning Louise was 344 and I was 339. Louise is not particularly happy about the situation.
