So I mentioned in the confessions thread that I was moving the mattresses to HOPEFULLY stop the nightmares. This stems from my grandmother and I don't know if it's a Native American thing or a southern thing..but she always said to NEVER sleep with your bed east to west because that's how the dead lay and you will have nightmares.

Well..I've been having nightmares that someone's been in my apartment since I moved in and my bed was facing east to west. So I turned it around in HOPES that the nightmares end.

We were discussing it in the chatroom and people were adding in other similar things they've heard and/or believe.

Another one is that when you hear a hoot owl that means you are going to loose someone close to you. It's called a Stugenney * I have no idea how to spell it..but there it is phonetically*

If your house is visited by spirits..burn sage and sprinkle the ashes around your house.

Humm..that's all I can think of for now..what do you believe?
