I'm sure you're all thinking, "Wow! It never once occurred to me that these weight loss before-n'-afters might be faked!" Yeah ok, but it makes me wonder -- can't these people hawking supposed weight loss products be sued for false advertising?
Below is an ad (sorry for the crappy quality) I found in a magazine -- notice how, in the "before" pic, the woman's arms display the characteristic femine outward curvature at the elbow, and in the "after" shot they are strangely-rounded bows. Obvious photoshopping, right? My eagle eye caught this as I was scrutinizing the ad, wondering how in the hell anyone would prefer this woman's shape after her "amazing" 50-lb. weight loss to her prior, more voluptuous figure.
Maybe it's impossible to prove, but you'd think the FDA or somebody would crack down on this crap.
And before you go flaming me for not having a life, ok -- I admit it, I don't have a life. Gotta problem with that? :happy:
