Okay, we all know bacon has magical propeties and improves the flavor of food, tenfold. I'm going to a cookout next weekend and want to make potato salad. Yes, I could buy very good salad at a deli but I want the satisfaction of making it on my own. Should I go the German route or the traditional American mayo type? I'm siding with German because A) who doesn't like bacon ?(besides observant Jews, Muslims and vegheads) B) Mayo has the potential to develop into a e-coli/salomenlla (I forget which one) feast and I don't want to be a serial killer. Bonus points if you give me recipes.
