This one goes out to all those (water) closet-intellectuals and serious pleasure readers out there.
OK. Am I the only one who has read books one sitting at a time? I just finished Terrence DesPres' "The Survivor," and now I am reading Harriet Jacob's famous 18th century account, "Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl." Both are heavy, but wonderful reading.
Who else? (Periodicals count, if you must  ).
Serious and not-so-serious responses welcomed.
