Belly button piercings......help!

Ok not sure whether to post this here or in fashion so mods feel free to nudge me if need be!

i want to get my belly button pierced, but a girlfriend (well workmate i actually dont like her very much ) says i cant as i am fat!

now ofc i know this is nonsense as i have seen some very cute fat girls with belly button piercings, i just want to know if u experienced any healing/getting caught difficulties due to your extra weight? did the piercer give u any additional advice or recommendations?
