Built Like a Teddy Bear
I've always had a passion for cooking, so much so that I went to school for it. Recently though I have found that I also have a passion for educating maybe teaching...anyways. My brother's girlfriend recently asked me for a recipe of something my brother would like to eat, she was going to make him a nice dinner (awwwwww). Well I've been out of work since July and decided I would tag along, like I had anything else to do. We went from buying ingredients to make a pizza to making a 3 course meal. It was really interesting, all the stuff I've learned seemed to amaze her, it was pretty cool. We ended up going back to me and my brother's place and started cooking, menu is as follows...
App.
Crab cakes with Orange Wasabi Aoli and Green Papaya, Mango slaw
Main
Seared Duck breast with Pomegranate and Rosemary reduction
20 Layer Scalloped potatoes
Ginger Ale glazed carrots
Dessert
Chocolate dipped raspberries (I know, not that fancy)
Is was really fun, I got to cook an amazing meal and teach, then it hit that could do something like this. What I was wondering is what you guys thoughts are on having your own personal "chef" for a special event?
Would you use something like that, is there a market for for people and take home chef's, would you give me money if I helped pick and cook a special meal? What do you think, be honest and stuff.
