A wonderful but seldom seen member of dims John from NZ had a hip operation yesterday. dims members adopted him as their own stray kiwi at the vegas bash 2006 (he does not mind being called a kiwi so don't worry). he has been with us ever since. he's not much of a chatter poster etc...but peeks in occasionally. he always keeps us posted on his exploits via e-mail. he even does a round of calling occasionally but the great thing is that when we are with him every year he is always a pleasure to be around. he is the consummate FA gentleman. if you ever ooh and ah over something i quoted said by a wise and kind FA its usually attributable to John. everyone who knows him says he is one of the nicest guys on the planet. and, he is a physical therapist who gives us great advice and emotional support. i'm proud to say he is a great friend of mine.
he had a major hip operation yesterday. so he will be recooperating for the next several weeks. i thought it would be nice if we supported him as much as he does us. i was hoping that everyone who'd like to would post a get well. and maybe post a pic or 2 if you have them.
if you happen to run into him ask him about his broad travels and his biking exploits.
here is my fav pic of me and john when we both attended our first vegas bash the same year in 2006 :
GET WELL SOON YOU SWEET KIWI YOU!!!!
PS: John now that we have you strapped down to a bed and your not too busy being off on bike hikes you'll have to come here more.
