Hot on the heels of the GARGANTUA tour, Big Moves presents HEAVY METAL
HOLIDAYS, a one-night dance revue in a hard-rock and metal-themed
motif. What does that mean? Lots of skin, lots of drums, lots of hair,
and some crazy kick-ass dance numbers for people who like it loud,
hard, and rough. The rocker vibe of PAs, combined with live rock from
cover band 1977 and costumes that just wont quit, makes HEAVY METAL
HOLIDAYS a show for Big Moves fans to remember. Performers will include
Phat Fly Girls (hip hop), Filling the Stage (jazz and musical theater),
and Caravan of Curves (bellydance), plus Big Moves poet laureate
Jaclyn Friedman and our own Amazonian emcee, Alicia Greene. Were also
bringing audiences on stage with us for two contests--air guitar AND
big hairin which we put up our own champions in each division against
volunteers from the audience. Winners will receive great prize packages from Big Moves and our corporate sponsors.
**UPDATE!** Bring your gently used plus-size coats, sweaters, and
winter wear (2x and over) and large boots and winter shoes to donate to
the Women's Lunch Place, a daytime drop-in resource for poor and
homeless women in Boston. A representative will be on hand to pick
these donations up and haul them off to the women who need them.
PS: If you've ever wanted to audition for a Big Moves performing
company, COME TO THE SHOW, COME BY, and SAY HI! We'll tell you about
the upcoming auditions for both Filling the Stage and the Phat Fly
Girls.
