As many of you know, I've been offered a new job in Texas, and Sandie and I have been down here for the past few days on a house-hunting trip.
We thought we found the perfect house yesterday, but the deal fell through when the seller wanted us to split his share of the closing costs with him - being as we have the closing costs to deal with with our present home in Colorado, that was a deal-breaker.
Anyway, this morning we made an offer on another house, and the realtor just called to say that our offer had been accepted!!!!
Here's a picture of what will be our new home later this summer:
It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bath, with a big yard - big enough for a pool, which will probably be our first investment.
The bar's open - drinks are on us!! We're going to our favorite place for dinner tonight to celebrate.
PS - Those of you who know the town we are moving to, please do not mention it by name in this open forum. We have our reasons. Thank you.
