OK, this is a weird one. I'm washing my hands in the ladies room yesterday and this other fat chick asks my name. So I tell her and she tells me her name. And then she says "I just wanted to tell you that you look so good lately and I'm so proud of you." I wanted to say ....what are you talking about (remember, I don't know this person at all..why would she be "proud" of me?), but I didn't feel like taking it up in the ladies' room and so I just said "thank you" and left.

This sounds suspiciously like a weight loss compliment, except I'm not losing weight (that I know of anyway, maybe I have a wasting disease like cancer and don't know about it). Things like this just take me aback. I just found it bizarre, maybe because I would never walk up to a person I had just met in the ladies room and tell them I'm proud of them.
I haven't gotten a promotion or any awards or anything work related lately..in that context it would make more sense.
