Bobby Flay has opened a burgers only restaurant at Mohegan Sun, near the Winter garage entrance. It is called Bobby's Burger Palace, or BBP. I can report that I had a great time, and enjoyed my burger very much. Prices are fantastic for what you get. About $7 for a generously sized burger with very imaginative toppings - Avocado spread, arugula, basil, fresh mozzarella, applewood bacon, are a few - served with a half sour pickle. A metal bucket of delicious Sweet potato fries will set ya back all of 3 bucks. These are habit forming. sweet salty, crisp yet a little greasy. They have great milkshakes - mango, pistachio, dark chocolate, black and white, vanilla bean, and alcohol infused milkshakes too. Shakes are a bargain at $5.
Plus Connecticut Sun season ticket holders get a 10% discount. Yeah for the WNBA.
Seat is armless on counter stools. The whole place is counters. You order and pay on the way in. Service is fast and friendly. Any burger can be crunchified - potato chips added. If you are there at 8-10 pm you can hear the music from the wolf den nearby.
I'm tellin you - the place is the bomb.
