A recent acquaintance is struggling with body issues and is very unsure of herself. I have shared the link here, as well as other SA sites I frequent. However, I think books might be more effective for this person (she's a voracious reader.) I have a few titles that I generally recommend to anyone when this topic comes up. They are:
Just The Weigh You Are by Linda Konner and Steven Jones
Bountiful Women by Bonnie Bernell and
Big, Big Love by Hanne Blank
I did a search at Amazon and found several books I am not familiar with. So, I wondered, what would my contemporaries recommend?
Also, one of the recommended titles on Amazon is The Invisible Woman: Confronting Weight Prejudice in America by W. Charisse Goodman. The title intrigues me. Anyone read it? If so, do you recommend it?
Thanks in advance for your input!
