I've got a 'Martin Crane' chair.
It's an old recliner that used to belong to my folks, and it now resides in my computer room.
While not adorned with duct tape, it is a somewhat sorry-looking ol' thing. Some of the springs are broken in the seat, just where it meets the backrest, but I don't mind: That just helps me sink deeper into it.
It's covered in black naughahyde, with the seating surfaces finished in a black, white (now grey) and brown houndstooth-check of some woven mystery fabric.
It's the best seat in the house.
Has anybody else adopted the Martin Crane philosophy of hanging onto furniture that looks like it survived a voyage on the ark, but is still just too comfortable to ditch?
