Hey guys,
Couldn't think of a better place than this to post. A long-time friend of mine lost her home early this morning form the fires in Sylmar. She took care of Ian when he was small and her son and Ian were close friends before they started school and we both moved in different directions. Her home was in the mobile home park that the news has been reporting on.
I talked to her this morning and she is staying with a friend. I don't think the reality of it all has sunk in yet, when I talked to her she kept saying - oh, it's fine - I have insurance. She is a fellow BBW - probably a size 24-26. I am getting together some clothes that I have for her and I know some of us fashionistas who may have outgrown a few things might have somethings they might want to donate. If you are interested in helping out, PM me.
Insurance or not, I cannot imagine losing everything. The blessing of course is that they got out safe, with their pets and important papers.
Thanks,
Elizabeth
