I am throwing myself at the mercy of Conrad and the mods -

Can we please have a rant board or something where the less-PC-type-things might be discussed?

Except limit it so flaming becomes kinda tricky or some junk. Like make your point in 100 words or less and you only get to comment twice on a given thread every 60 minutes or something like that? Is that possible?

Because I know I don't really know what went down on _ahem_ that other board or whatnot, but I just can't imagine you all, the folks I consider "my people" could really reach a point where you disagreed so much that all communication broke down. Is that how it went?

Here's the deal - this is why I'm just going to make this one request and then I'll zip my lip cross my heart and hope to die...

Dims is MORE to me than "that fat board I visit".

You're ALL more to me than my 'fat online peeps'. You're more than size (or appreciators of the size). You're humans. (Duh, Buffie, we knew that... ohkay I know!)

Like I told Spanky a while ago - I love Dims equally because my girth is welcome here, but I also love Dims because I can talk with you all about anything else and if I feel like talking about me fats, I know it won't be a problem.

But now I kind of feel like I'm back to chubb-only discussions or other fluffy stuff and some random sillyness. Which is GOOD, please don't misunderstand.... but being able to talk about the more quote-un-quote controversial stuff was really fun too.

For example, it was because of Hyde Park that I learned what a "Straw Man Argument" was! Of course I'm happy to cherish the memory, but I hate to think a place like that is gone.

Wrapping up now. That's what I wanted to say about it and so this is me, officially stepping away from the microphone....
