So the other night I watched an old original Star Trek ep - called "Man Trap"...

Two things struck me -
1) the "love interest" girls and the crew women in this show were... curvy... maybe a size 12UK? Not remarkable as such - except that almost all the love interest women you see in movies are waaaay smaller than that now.. and have been since maybe the 80s???...
2) Holy shit! The sexism! Apart from Lt. Uhura the crew women just seem to carry trays of food for the blokes! And Star Trek was ahead of its day apparently! Contrast with - oooh anything from Deep Space Nine / Star Trek Voyager.... Can't imagine Cpt Janeway ever standing meekly by holding a food tray for some dude...

Ok not the deepest thread ever, but...
