So, Tuesday night, on a whim, I decided to go and test drive a few cars.

First I tried a PT Cruiser Convertible. It was fun, other than the fact that I didn't fit well in the seat, and there wasn't enough headroom. I had to lean down to see the traffic lights, even with the seat all the way down...not good. I was disappointed about that, because I think they're very classy-looking.

Next I tried a Chrysler 300...what I call a "Dick Tracy Car". I loved it! It was smooth and extremely comfortable for this big girl, and were I a luxury car kind of girl, I'd want one...but it just wasn't *me*.

Then I drove this baby:

It's a a 2006 Dodge Charger SRT8 and was hooked within minutes! It held my big butt very comfortably, the seat belt fit quite well, and as an added bonus, the steering wheel was fully adjustable in all directions. Handling was perfection (to this novice) and I felt like I was back in high school driving my old muscle car. It comes with a Hemi engine, too. The trunk space was HUGE, as was the back seat, and the seats come down for even more space in the trunk.

I've read many reviews, and of all of them, the only complaints I've seen have been that visiblity isn't great at times (blind spot) and some people felt it should be more like the classic Charger. I was concerned about gas mileage, but many reviews here have said that they've gotten pretty good mileage.

It's not a cheap car, but who knows? Maybe someday Santa will be good to me...
