I was in chat and a nice fellow started to PM me. I will call him Calvin.
We had a nice conversation that was not full of the usual things that turn me off. Next time we were in the room at the same time, it resumed.
Calvin doesn't have a profile photo and mine is headless so after a few times of chatting we decided to send a few emails to one another.
We like the photos and continue chatting and emailing back and forth. Turns out he is in the same city as me!
Now here is the thing, his user name is an unusual one, and so is his first name. When we started chatting, I had a sneaking feeling he and I had chatted before, but then we determined it must be that I must have just seen his user name in the chat room.
I was storing my emails from him, and any other men I have met in chat in a folder on my computer. I clicked "sort by sender" instead of the usual "sort by date" tab, and I see that I have chatted with another guy with the same user name and same first name, but the pictures and the city are altogether different. The previous Calvin was in Philly, and this one is here.
In my entire life, I have met a total of (let's see if I can count them all) TWO men I have met first on the internet.
I am confused, but this is all very light at this point, with no plans to meet, but it is strange.
I suppose I could PM a few women friends from in here and see if any of them have chatted with him, he is not a newcomer. Or I could just not reply to him any more. If it is a coincidence, then, I am judging him wrongly.
If I send him an old email with someone else's picture, then I am betraying someone's privacy.
If I were to do that and he is BUSTED, he may just put me on ignore, and I wouldn't learn anything and wouldn't have any answers to my questions.
Does anyone have similar strange things that make the alarm bells sound but at only a whisper?
On the other hand, he seems really nice.
