Compassionate Freedom of Choice Act

House/Regulation: Congressman Ron Paul of Texas has introduced a bill, H.R. 6342, the “Compassionate Freedom of Choice Act”. Each year, thousands of patients die who could have possibly have benefited from experimental treatments and drugs that have not yet been approved by the FDA. This bill would allow terminally ill patients who desire to receive such experimental treatments to bypass the FDA if the patient and their doctor believe that such treatments are the best chance for survival.
