I was going to ask you in a PM to comment on this but then I felt it best to just lay this out in public.
There have been many threads recently, to wit:
From the Main Board:
Whats your weight limit? (Sunday AM)
What do you FAs expect from your BBWs and SSBBWs? (Saturday PM)
OK girls, what do you expect from an FA? (Saturday PM)
How prevalent are FAs? (last Monday)
"I'm good enough to sleep with, but not good enough to date" (last Tuesday)
where are my fellow apples?!?!?!?! FAA's??? (fat apple admirers) (March 29)
From the Weight Board:
where is the love for the msbbw??? (March 30)
...in which the responses seem to highlight the particular misconceptions, misunderstandings, grievances, old wounds, etc., that are peculiar to our subculture specifically. I'm not sure why these issues are all converging at the same time, or maybe that's just my impression. Maybe it's some vernal equinox thing--who knows.
I don't expect you to sift through these threads and read every post, although I know you try to keep up with what's going on here, but I'd appreciate it if you could weigh in on this minor phenomenon. I feel I want to respond to some of this but I don't want to diffuse my thoughts (not completely formed just yet) by running to each thread and dropping my pennies here and there.
It just seems to me that there is a urgent need and call for an understanding/appreciation/what have you (you know--the whole reason Dimensions exists in the first place) among the factions of our subculture at this particular moment.
Of course, I would encourage anyone else who feels inclined to comment to do so.
Does any of this make sense? I know that mutual understanding, acceptance, and appreciation is one of the primary reasons for this forum, but I'm not feeling a lot of that happening as a collective group right now. How can we make improvements here, or is this just something we're stuck with due to the nature of these issues?
