is it just me or is the image i see of young women on t.v. just very whimpy. they all seem to be emotionally bankrupt young things that cry at the drop of a hat and have no goals or talents. i know that many or probably most young women are not like that. i teach some great young women who aren't like that at all. i think this image is hurting them a lot. they aren't taken as seriously as they should be and are expected to act ditsy. in fact when they act in control of themselves and savy people seem to get angry. it hurts me to see them disrespected so much. am i just dreaming ? am i imaging things?
