Several years ago I was at a meeting of some sort. After the meeting a kind woman came up and asked me if it was right for me to make my wife come out in public where people could see her.
The woman did not express anger but seemed to be concerned that I would be so unfeeling as to make or allow my wife to be seen by the public and in a public place.
I was pretty much speechless.
