Well, my day off started with me getting up at 6:45 to take a kitten in to be neutered. Since cat neuters are a lot less involved than cat spays, they take many more male cats. When I have females I get up about 5:15 to start lining up. However, the drawback to this was that I didn't get checked in until 9:00. Then I took a litter of kittens with eye infections in to the regular vet - I have to clean out eyes and give terramycin several times a day. Took them back home, grabbed a load of donations for the local battered women's shelter, and took them in. Came back to the house, grabbed an adult cat for microchipping and a kitten for inoculations back to the free clinic. More waiting. I have another adult I need to bring in for shots and microchipping, but I can't catch her. Sat down for 2 hours and watched 2 episodes of Sliders on DVD. Went back to pick up first kitten. More waiting. Came back and fed outside cat, fed all sets of inside cats and gave them water. Scooped all litterboxes. Cleaned out kitten eyes and administered antibiotics. Gave antibiotics to adult male w/UTI. Meant to worm kittens and put ear meds in another cat, but forgot. Took shower and went to bed.
