From what I read over the internet, this city is not through its best times. Population of Detroit's urban area dwindling since 1970ies, much of the Detroit city no-go zone, city management de-facto bankrupt, crime reaching impossible highs, Hollywood using the city for apocalyptic films, etc.. Is it really that bad as it looks from outside U.S.?
