Fellow BHM's,
Just posing a question to the fellow BHM's of this place...
Are there things you miss being able to do after bulking up?
I wasn't always this big, I have always been chubby or mildly overweight but my weight gain didn't begin until the last 10 or so years of my life when I began a very sedentary and intrusive job. Before then there wasn't much I couldn't do. I have, as of late, grown to miss some of the things I used to do but can no longer do because of the weight I've gained.
Do you ever miss things like that? I mostly miss Roller coasters, swimming (which I've stopped doing because I tend to get some very awkward stares that can often lead to small children being unknowingly cruel), going to Renaissance festivals (due to the amount of walking that I need to be able to do to enjoy them, I just can't go that long without hurting or being out of breath), fitting in one seat in the movie theaters without having to lift the bar beside me.
I also miss fitting in vehicles behind the wheel without having the steering wheel rub against my belly which can end painfully. I miss running sometimes. I miss feeling like I could climb a tree. I miss sleeping comfortably regardless of the position I was in. I miss blending in sometimes.
I mostly miss acting. I used to be very involved in amateur community and professional theater. I've been in around 50 shows and It was one of the biggest high points of my life. Everything from 3x Off-Broadway to Shakespeare. All of that changed with my job. My job gave me a vocation that has the potential to earn a decent wage (I do pretty good now), but it really... turned my life around. I miss alot of things and some of it I am fairly certainly I will not get back.
Any of you ever feel that way?
