Do you think you could (as a fat person) live at 5000 feet??

We live in Colorado. The altitude is pure hell for me. From what I understand some people never get used to it. I'm starting to think some of my health issues are being exacerbated by the altitude??

So I'm wondering - as a fat person do you think you could live at 5000 feet??
